*Updated!* This is the latest version of the game! This interactive experience is an exploration of events unfolding in Syria. This is a news-game; a simulation that uses interactivity to explore a real world event. Developed by GameTheNews.net in around two weeks, the game allows users to explore the options open to the Syrian rebels as they push the conflict to its endgame. Each choice the user makes has consequences – the types of military units you may deploy, the political paths you choose to tread. Not only does each choice impact the current situation but your choices may also impact the final outcome. Users can play and replay events to see how different choices on the ground might lead to different outcomes.
Will you choose to accept peace at any cost? What if the war goes badly and the only options left mean more extreme actions; would you agree to follow this path?
This experience has been built from real news and presented in a design that has gone to great lengths to be sensitive to the subject matter it covers. More information about this is available from within the app itself and on the developers website; http://GameTheNews.net
Can you win the war and the peace that follows? Find out in Endgame Syria. A game by GameTheNews.net made in 2 weeks.
Auroch Digital/GameTheNews part of our ztePuzzle and have average installs from 10000 to 50000. Update for ZTE phones May 28, 2013. ZTE rating is 68.642. Verison is 2.0.3. Actual size 25.0 MB.
Good idea, limited in scope An admirable attempt to raise awareness of the Syria conflict, but certainly an oversimplification. There seems to be little room for the player to actually impact the outcome of the game, and after a few plays it feels repetitive. Adding more events and factions, and increasing the amount of real-world info given to users would improve the experience.
Support the FSA! Even if it can be based on chance, it feels like a new fight every time. These sort of games ought to be developed for other current and past events.
Good idea, bad implementation I like the Idea of processing the events in form of a game. There is much potential in this. Only, the game lacks depth. And/or information about the game mechanics. Is there a way to increase the chance of getting support by different nations or is the collection of cards you draw just plain chance? Has the loss of civilian lives any influence on the game? There are many things, that happen and it is hard to know, which are the consequences of player decisions and which are just plain luck. If the game is meant to help the player understand these events, it should give more insight into the mechanics behind it.
Good game, But needs to be able to be able to make cards larger as they are hard to read. I love the idea, good way to raise awareness of the problem in syria. Not my kind od war game but this is good. (Would like to see a more realistic wartime strategy, like Civilization and Romance of the Three Kingdoms.)
I don't like it I'm on 15 my brother my older brother is a political science major and politics in thing and we played for little while this is what trying to do I will explain more underneath the title My brother told me he says he knows what they're trying to do but he says that he can understand what the game it is it's only a game but he says they really should make light of real situations because it takes a lot of intelligence in a lot of talking and understanding the tried to put this thing together in real life me myself I'm 15 I don't understand a word of it I tried playing it to me it was just boring it was like doing school work and I had no idea what I was reading so but I'm only 15 so bye
The Idea is Interesting, but... It's a brave idea to handle the conflict in Syria in this format. The execution, though, is less impressive. There just needs to be more to the gameplay than this simplistic card game. The outcome also seems to rely on chance as much as on tactics, and there's not much to explore in terms of strategy. Disappointing.
More of a Wigdet Than a Game There's not much of a game here. Each playthrough is based more on chance than strategy, and the gameplay itself is kind of like a standard head to head card game, with random events popping up each round. NarcoGuera was a better game (at least it had some replayability), with its Risk-style gameplay. EG is basically just a political commentary wrapped in an perfunctory game shell. This is less of a game, but more of a widget. Skip this one, it's not worth the data.
Syria will stay Assad Allah Syria BASHER only.who don't like BAHAR AL ASSAD WILL HAVE TO LIKE HIM BECAUSE SYRIA WILL STAY CALLED SYRIA AL ASSAD
Shame on you ! V 2.0 adds new events from the ongoing conflict including Scud Missiles and the enhanced fears over WMDs ?? How disgusting are you ? The chemical strikes have caused over 1600 deaths and your making this into a game ?
Good but Great game but it doesn't really explain why did you get the outcomes and one card (shipment) doesn't work. I wrote to support almost 3 months ago got a "we will look into it" and still nothing else fix that and its one extra star.
Endgame:FSA The only thing that I see ending. Go to hell developers, i guess you cant even win in Games
Excellent A very cool game but can you make it able to change from revolution to government (change sides)
Interesting at first, boring at the second look The game looks promising. However you can only play one side and furthermore the replayability is low as the game is very easy.
mr. shame you r wrong this person is mearly a someone who has designed a game of which is showing a bunch of theories and need i remind u this is a game not real life
For real??? How do u accept from me to like something like tgis?? Duh ... u wanna me to support The FSA?? they r murders.. No I say as a Syrian
ok I give it 4 but would be 5 if u added more stuff like weather airdrops also allowed for longer gameplay also add Al-Nusra front & Ahrar Ash Sham IS as well into playable sides instead of having just the Mujahideen and having it work with YPG which hardly happens also add foreign fighters and artillarey also add drones and foreign pilots and Western Navy fleets in the Mediteranian and also add Religious fundamentalism in the stages after battle
Excellent game but... Excellent game but it must contain more carts.
Game is the pits Great game just do more with it
keeps crashing never made past start menu.. perhaps its an internal memory intensive, or made for higher specs, or tablets (too small text on smart phones)
Good but... Could be longer!!!
Please fix it on samsung galaxy y Please do things that i can play endgame syberia please fix it on samsung galaxy young
If your going to make a Game about playing as the rebels surely you have to make a game were your playing as the goverment aswell??
Great game! It may be a little to chance but thats just realistic! I love the complex simplicity of it! They did a simply amazing job
It is world war
Endgame:Syria Crashes every time on Samsung Galaxy Fame.
Terrorist game I'm sorry but the Syrian rebels are terrorist Islamist non secular cannibal eating terrorists. Don't support those disgusting people.
Great It is what you expect
Assad needs to win
Disgusting app Developers, go to hell.
Basic card game but has potential There is potential for an unbiased app to make decisions on real world events, to educate on all countries involved in the war and current airstrikes. Make quiz like decisions, with the odd historic fact here and there. Implementing the card game with it+on screen help as to what might affect actions. To realise that all governments are all out there for their own gain, and even if one major oil smuggling IS terror group is destroyed, that war breeds hate, and just moves the rest of the aggressors to the top
The game is clear that Syria as a country is going to be destroyed at the end
Represents the war very well
Less interesting Make it more playable by including the real Army of Syria (SAA) that wud be interesting and wid add dynamics ....and differentiating the rebels...u know YPG doesn't fight alongside FSA but against them..
Not as good as i thought Good idea, but bad carry out
Syria I really really really love Syria and Palestine #FreeSyria #FreePalestine
I really want to like it The game won't run anymore and needs an update. The subject matter is still relevant and there are many people still wanting to learn about it, this app has the potential to be part of that learning if it gets updated.
Broke Games starts and one second later it crashes, I haven't been able to get past the initial load, so I know nothing beyond it.
What a joke There are no Rebels in Syria, they are terrorists
SAA>FSA Should've let us play as the Syrian Army. Smh.
Terrorist-sympathizing subversion A poor attempt at gaining support for terrorists savaging Syria. The game itself is pathetic, not to mention boring beyond belief. Try harder next time to express your political agenda elsewhere. Perhaps a new hobby may do the developer some good.
